How is it played.

 

League Play.

The USTA Junior Team Tennis of Spartanburg host’s multiple leagues throughout the year. It is a multi-week program and match play (similar to the World Team Tennis format) for boys and girls, ages 6 to 18. Matches are all played on the same day at a specific location(s).

Teams.

Players register either as teams or as individuals, whom are later assigned to a team.

Teams are comprised of 4 to 5 co-ed players of similar age and skill. They compete against other teams in one of four league divisions: 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, or 18 & under.

Match Format.

Teams will compete against one another by playing a match. A match is comprised of 5 “sets” - Boys’ Singles, Girls’ Singles, Boys’ Doubles, Girls’ Doubles’, and Mixed-Doubles.

Winners are decided based on total games won in a match and throughout the season.
